Hayley & Chris enjoyed a relaxed, rustic summer wedding at Mythe Barn.
The Perfect Venue
Following a candlelit proposal, Hayley and Chris were looking for their dream wedding venue, ideally a beautiful wedding barn in Leicestershire. They fell in love with Mythe Barn and set their wedding date for the end of July 2017.
Design and Décor
With a summer wedding, the happy couple chose a delicate, pastel colour scheme.
“Our styling was relaxed, in keeping with the barn venue,” explains Hayley. “We chose pastel colours and lots of flowers.”
Hayley looked stunning in a strapless gown from The Brides Room of Birkdale. With a romantic tulle skirt and pretty diamante detail at the waist, it was the perfect choice for a country, summer celebration.
Meanwhile, her five bridesmaids wore elegant, long pink dresses, perfectly in keeping with the pastel theme and in a graceful style to compliment the bridal gown.
All About Flowers
Beautiful blooms were a key element of the décor at this stylish wedding. Hayley carried a hand-tied bouquet filled with seasonal flowers and a rustic style was carried through the venue with pretty flowers in jam jars as pew end decorations.
In the Grain Store, delicate table centrepieces consisted of polished tree slices with pastel blooms in glass jars, bringing the outside in with that ‘just picked’ look. To complete the look and add a romantic ambience, a hurricane vase with candle stood in the centre of each table.
Order of the Day
After a dreamy summer wedding ceremony, a delicious wedding breakfast was served by Galloping Gourmet. The tasty feast was then followed by an evening of celebrations. The newlyweds took to the floor for their first dance to ‘Marry Me’ by Train and the party started!
Hayley’s top wedding tip:
“Remember, the day is about you two! Relax and do what you want as a couple.”
