Your wedding photos will become one of the most treasured mementos of your special day. From your first kiss to the first dance, we want you to make the most of our beautiful spaces at Mythe Barn, capturing those unforgettable moments throughout the day.
Invite your photographer to capture a few precious moments as you get ready with your bridesmaids in our elegant Bridal Preparation Room. You might like to include shots of the hair and make-up preparation as well as detailed still-life images of your dress, accessories and bouquet. We also love to see a photograph of the bride standing on the Minstrel’s Gallery, awaiting the ceremony in The Oak Barn below.
Be sure to ask your photographer to take beautiful shots of The Oak Barn before your guests arrive and when they are seated. We know you’ll want to capture the moment you walk down the aisle as well as the reaction of your groom. Flooded with natural light, The Oak Barn is the perfect setting for romantic photographs including the signing of the register and that first kiss.
As your guests enjoy drinks and canapés, it’s a great opportunity to spend a little time alone and for your photographer to take some romantic ‘couple’ shots. Head outside where our beautiful gardens and the surrounding countryside become your backdrop and take a walk down the picturesque driveway with fields on either side.
Moving in to The Grain Store for your wedding breakfast, be sure to get fabulous photos of your food and of your guests enjoying the celebrations. Speeches should be captured on camera, alongside the reactions of you and your guests. This is the perfect time to see your guests at their most relaxed, engaging in animated conversation and enjoying the day.
Of course, it’s important to remember the most classic wedding traditions, from the exchange of wedding rings to the confetti moment! Cutting your wedding cake is also one of these moments and a great photographer will be sure to capture the emotion of each story.
As day turns to evening, your photographs should highlight the excitement of the party. We want to see your first dance and get an impression of the movement on the dancefloor. It’s also lovely to see your guests on the dancefloor – particularly family members and groups of friends singing along to those floor fillers! If our expert on-site catering team are creating an evening feast in our outdoor kitchen, you’ll get some great shots of colourful, theatrical dining at its best.
As your evening reaches a close, mark the moment with a confetti cannon. The end result will be a spectacular photograph – the perfect end to a magical day.
