Of course, Mythe Barn is exclusively yours on your wedding day so, if you plan to marry outside but the weather is inclement, your ceremony can easily be moved into the Oak Barn. Put simply, we’ve got it covered!

The Oak Barn is the perfect venue space that allows you to bring the outdoors in. A magnificent blend of rustic style with contemporary design, the barn boasts a solid oak frame and full-height windows. It’s a wonderful choice for weddings throughout the year. An indoor space that embraces its natural surroundings and is flooded with light. Tie the knot with the rolling countryside as your backdrop and enjoy the best of both worlds. If you would prefer a church wedding, there are some beautiful country churches within easy reach of Mythe Barn. Following your ceremony, we’ll look forward to welcoming you and your guests with drinks and canapés on the lawns, in the Courtyard or in the Cart Barn.

Mythe Barn Courtyard

Set at the very heart of Mythe Barn, our Courtyard is one of our favourite spaces. Adding to the outdoor wedding venue options, it’s a characterful sun-trap where you might choose to enjoy your drinks reception.

Later in the day, head to the courtyard to enjoy your evening food. Featuring a fully functional outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and barbecue, our chefs can create delicious dishes for your evening dining. In the summer, use this area to soak up the last of the sunlight over a gourmet barbecue or a selection of grilled kebabs. While during the colder months head to the courtyard, blankets in tow, for a sparkler moment under the stars. Guests can indulge with a warming glass of mulled cider and wood-fired pizzas to keep them cosy.

Even in drizzly rain, you can enjoy this space as it’s partially undercover. Featuring hanging copper lights, the kitchen is illuminated. While in the courtyard, guests can watch as the catering team prepare their food. Seeing the chefs roll out your pizza adds an extra point of entertainment and a theatrical, fun element to your day.

Rolling countryside

Couples that choose Mythe Barn as their outdoor wedding venue are spoilt for choice when it comes to locations for their couple photographs. Floor-to-ceiling doors provide unobstructed views over the countryside setting. The doors open onto the gardens, bringing the outside in and giving you the best of both worlds.
