YOUR wedding day AT MYTHE BARN

7AM – TODAY’S THE DAY!
You have waited many months for today, and it’s finally here. All of your planning has paid off, and our talented Catering and Events Team is hard at work creating your perfect day and menu. You have most likely been here a few times now, so you know your way, but make sure to allow plenty of time for your journey.
10.30AM – PREPARATIONS BEGIN
You can access our two dressing rooms, The Gallery and The Stable, from 10.30 am on the morning of your wedding, giving you plenty of time to get ready surrounded by your loved ones. Feeling peckish? We have a selection of grazing boards and drinks you can order to keep your energy levels up as you prepare for the day.
12PM – ACCOMMODATION CHECK-IN
Overnight guests can check into their accommodation from 12 pm, drop off their bags and spruce up before the ceremony.
12.30PM – YOUR GUESTS BEGIN TO ARRIVE
As you put together the final touches in The Gallery, our Events Team will greet your guests and direct them to the beautiful Barn or Pergola. Our licensed bar will be open for guests to purchase refreshments before the ceremony.
1.30PM – YOUR GUESTS WILL TAKE THEIR SEATS
The bar will close 30 minutes before the start time to give guests time to finish their drinks and take their seats. Our Events Team will greet your guests and direct them to The Oak Barn or The Gazebo if you’re having an outdoor ceremony.
1.45PM – MEET WITH THE REGISTRAR
Just before the ceremony, you will both (separately) answer a few questions with the registrar. This is an informal chat so you are both prepared for the next steps.
2PM – SAY ‘I DO’
Your nearest and dearest will be seated and awaiting your imminent arrival. Get ready for some of the most important words you will ever say!
2.30PM – WELCOME DRINKS
After your ceremony, mingle with your loved ones in The Courtyard or The Cart Barn and treat them to a memorable drinks reception. A prosecco bar or cocktail station coupled with mouth-watering canapés will certainly go down a treat.
3PM – CAMERA READY
Your photographer will whisk you away to some of the most romantic spots around Mythe Barn, making full use of the countryside location and idyllic grounds.
4PM – TAKE YOUR SEATS
Your meticulously planned and prepared wedding breakfast awaits in the breathtaking Grain Store. Make your grand first entrance as a married couple into your captivating wedding reception.
6PM – SAY A FEW WORDS
Mythe Barn is yours to enjoy as you wish, so it is up to you whether you hold your speeches before or after the wedding breakfast. Once you have finished your meal, head back into The Cart Barn while you await the arrival of your evening guests. Your evening entertainment can take this opportunity to discreetly set up and get everything ready for the perfect party.
7.30PM – EVENING GUESTS ARRIVE
Your evening guests will arrive and start to join the party. Give them the warmest welcome with a glass of prosecco upon arrival (please speak to our team for more information on food and drink upgrades). You can choose between The Grain Store and The Oak Barn to host your evening reception.
8PM – FIRST DANCE AND CAKE-CUTTING
Once all your friends and family have gathered, it is time to cut the cake and come together for your first dance as a married couple. Traditionally, you would cut the cake and then take to the floor, but you can choose to do things however you like when you celebrate here.
8.30PM – EVENING FOOD
As evening falls, you can treat your guests to an array of delicious food options from The Outdoor Kitchen in The Courtyard. Our chefs will cook anything from wood-fired pizzas to a barbecue feast and fragrant wok food, which can either be served to your guests outside as the sun sets or indoors if you would prefer.
11.15PM – LAST ORDERS
Your bar manager will call last orders and start to draw the night to a close. It is time for one last drink and a final dance with your friends and family.
11.30PM – THE WIND-DOWN
Your band or DJ will have played their final song by 11:30 pm, ensuring your guests can take their time leaving and get the chance to say goodbye.
12 MIDNIGHT – SAY GOODNIGHT
We ask guests who aren’t staying the night vacate the venue by midnight. We recommend local taxis are booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
THE FOLLOWING DAY
8-9AM – BREAKFAST TIME
Gather together once again and enjoy a delicious breakfast all together. This is a wonderful way to end your time at Mythe Barn as you reminisce about your big day with family and friends.
10AM – CHECK-OUT TIME
Your items from the day before will be collated and ready for you when you leave, so it is time to say your final goodbyes to your guests, our team and Mythe Barn. We wish you lots of joy in your married lives together!
